Domestic and International Business Development and Diversification

BCBC helps BC growers and first receivers expand into new markets at home and internationally. Through targeted programs, trade support, and digital tools, we strengthen market access, build buyer confidence, and support long-term business growth across the sector.

Agri-Marketing Program (AMP)

Supports first receivers and growers in diversifying sales channels and entering new domestic and international markets through promotional activity, buyer engagement, trade show participation, and market development.

Grower Clinics

Practical sessions that help BC growers meet quality standards and government guidelines, supporting food safety compliance and readiness for diversified markets.

Packer Portal

A new digital platform to improve coordination between BCBC and first receivers. It will support document management including food safety certificates and spray records across the supply chain.

Market Development Initiatives

Builds awareness, demand, and trade relationships for BC blueberries in Canadian markets and key international regions.

Minor Use Program

Delivered in collaboration with the Fruit and Vegetable Growers of Canada (FVGC), this program secures access to essential crop protection tools by advancing research, registrations, and priority setting that reflects BC industry needs.

Breeding and Variety Development

Supports development of new blueberry cultivars suited to BC’s climate and current market demand, giving growers access to varieties that perform well locally and meet buyer expectations.

Knowledge Transfer

Translates research findings and field learnings into practical, accessible information that supports better decision making across the sector.

Town Hall Meetings
