Committees & Task Forces
Supporting Informed Decision-Making
Committees and task forces play an important role in supporting the work of the BC Blueberry Council. These groups provide focused expertise, practical insight, and stakeholder perspective to help inform Council decisions and initiatives.
Working alongside the Board of Directors and the Executive Director, committees and task forces help the Council respond effectively to priority issues, emerging challenges, and strategic opportunities across the BC blueberry industry.
Purpose & Role
Committees and task forces are established to:
- Provide guidance and recommendations on specific focus areas
- Support applied research, policy development, and program delivery
- Address emerging or time-sensitive industry issues
- Strengthen collaboration across the BC blueberry ecosystem
Their work helps ensure that Council decisions are well-informed and aligned with industry priorities.

Task Forces
Task forces are established to address specific issues or initiatives that require focused attention for a defined period of time. These groups may be formed to respond to emerging challenges, explore opportunities, or support the development of recommendations for the Board. Task forces are time-limited and are disbanded once their objectives have been met.
