eLearning

The eLearning: Pilot project for blueberry growers in BC was officially launched at the Horticulture Growers’ Short Course - January 24-26, 2013. This two-year pilot project was funded through IAF and the BC Blueberry Council. This information still remains relevant for the blueberry industry today. Please take a look below at these educational resources.

The goals of this project were to develop Multilanguage tools in different formats such as videos, printed material and multimedia. As a result of this pilot program, growers and industry stakeholders become better informed, environmentally- aware, innovative and market-responsive to their industry.

Non-interactive resources such as printable documents (PDF files) are linked below to provide supplemental information to reinforce the content of the training videos.

Project mandate:

  • To educate and disseminate targeted agricultural information to blueberry growers using digital media, video and other mass media tools.
  • To exchange knowledge, experiences and beneficial practices between growers to establish strong agriculture practices.
  • To level differences in opportunities for exposure to information between large and small growers.
  • To improve/promote the linkage of research extension and growers’ needs.
  • To promote the potential for linkages with existing initiatives, promoting partnerships between government, universities and private sectors.
