Happy New Year! 2021 was a busy year for the BC Blueberry Council. To make sure you didn’t miss anything, we’ve put together a list of the top news stories from 2021 featuring our very own BC Blueberries.

January, February & March 2021
Over the winter months the media celebrated National Blueberry Pancake Day with recipes from BC Blueberries. The media also announced the findings from the U.S. International Trade Commission’s investigation, which determined that imported Canadian blueberries posed no threat to American producers. Finally, writers were excited to share the online BC Blueberries for Dinner event in March, which invited blueberry lovers to gather virtually for an interactive cooking lesson with chef Dez.

Throughout the spring we saw BC Blueberry recipes for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day across news platforms. The media was also interested in how rising temperatures would impact blueberry fields. Lastly, Edible Vancouver & Wine Country distributed a beautiful blueberry-themed issue for the summer, with interviews from BC Blueberry growers and blueberry recipes.

With fall in full swing, we saw BC Blueberry Halloween recipes take over the newsroom.
